Verizon Enterprise Solutions was the victim of a recent data breach. According to Krebs on Security, the business-to-business division of Verizon saw 1.5 million of its customers’ data stolen in a hack.

The hackers than took to a “underground cybercrime forum,” according to the site, and sold that data. They priced it $100,000 for the entire thing or $10,000 for each chunk of 100,00 records. Apparently, the hackers even offered to sell information regarding security holes in Verizon’s site.

The data supposedly only includes “contact information” for customers, no specific accounts or security information. Verizon did offer a comment to Krebs on Security.

Verizon recently discovered and remediated a security vulnerability on our enterprise client portal…

…Our investigation to date found an attacker obtained basic contact information on a number of our enterprise customers. No customer proprietary network information (CPNI) or other data was accessed or accessible.

The good news is that nothing too sensitive was stolen. The bad news is that it appears the hackers have discovered some security vulnerabilities.
