Apple announced late Tuesday that it is launching a Design and Development app accelerator program in Bengaluru, India. The company said that it acknowledges that “tens of thousands” of developers are building apps in India and now they’ll have support from Apple to build even more.

“India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said. “With the opening of this new facility in Bengaluru, we’re giving developers access to tools which will help them create innovative apps for customers around the world.”

The accelerator, which Apple says should open in early 2017, will provide developers with a place to learn more about building applications for Apple’s variety of products including the iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple will also offer up experts to “lead briefings and provide one-on-one app reviews,” in addition to support for the Swift programming language.
