Clemson quarterback boldly predicted his amazing championship game performance when he was in high school

For the second straight year, Deshaun Watson put on a show in the national championship game against Alabama.

After a 400-yard, four-touchdown, losing effort for Clemson last year, Watson and his team came back and beat Alabama 35-31 to become national champions.

Watson was spectacular again, throwing for 420 yards on 36-of-56 passing for three touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown to put Clemson up with one second remaining.

However, apparently Watson always saw these performances coming. He predicted his national-championship performance in 2012, back when he was a sophomore in high school.

If I get a chance to play in a national championship game, Imma go ham.

He issued another prediction in 2013:

Me. In a National Championship Game. I’m just waiting on that moment.

Watson was speechless after the game, saying after coming up short last year, he and Clemson worked extra hard to get back to the championship.

Watson will enter the NFL Draft this season, and his incredible championship performance is not only a perfect ending to his college career, but a sure boost in his draft stock.
