Well, would you look at that. We’ve all miraculously survived an entire year since the last U.S. Grand Prix, and to celebrate, Texas is giving us cold and rainy weather for the week of. How kind. Anyway, time flies, which is why you should make the most of it by joining Jalopnik for our annual Formula One party in Austin.

As we often do, your friendly neighborhood Jalopnik staff and guests like GP3 Series driver Ryan Tveter will be hosting a meet up with you wonderful people and anyone you’d like to bring this Saturday, Oct. 20, at Lustre Pearl East at 8 p.m. CT. Yes, this is the night Bruno Mars plays at Circuit of The Americas, but we’ve been told in the past that Friday was too early for a lot of folks, you whiners, so we’re giving Saturday a try this year.

Cars? Bruno Mars? You decide.

It’ll be a completely chill and informal gathering where you can talk about cars, laugh about cars, yell about cars or do other things related or unrelated to cars. The bar will have food, drinks, places to hang out, and literally some of us! Learning from past experiences, we’ll bring a makeshift Jalopnik sign in some form so that you don’t have to stand around awkwardly and look for someone in a T-shirt with a manual shift pattern on it to find the group.

Here’s the deal:

Where: Lustre Pearl East*, 114 Linden St., Austin, Texas 78702

When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. CT

Who: Me, Stef Schrader, Kurt Bradley, Ryan Tveter and maybe some other folks who decide to roll in. And, most importantly, you!

Food: Here’s the menu.

Parking: There’s adequate street parking around the bar. You’ll be good.

RSVP? Nah, you don’t have to.

Come celebrate fast cars and talk excitedly about cars that may or may not be fast, because we know and understand that’s exactly what you want to do.

*Please note that this is the new Lustre Pearl on the East Side, not the one on Rainey Street. Once more: Don’t go to Rainey Street.
