Galaxy Note 7: Samsung’s site spills beans on N930F

Samsung may have accidentally (or perhaps purposefully) published the model number of the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 on its website. It’s certainly no secret that Samsung has another flagship Galaxy Note smartphone coming, but this seems to be the first time the model number has appeared in an official matter.

Last year’s Galaxy Note 5 carried the SM-N920 model number and, now, Samsung’s website specifically points to the SM-N930F in an XML file. That’s probably the next Galaxy Note; unfortunately, the company’s site doesn’t reference it specifically by name. Rumors have suggested Samsung will skip the Galaxy Note 6 moniker altogether, jumping right to Galaxy Note 7 to get the product in-line with the Galaxy S7 family. It also might help Samsung in its battle against the iPhone 7.

Samsung’s website doesn’t provide any additional information, but this also suggests that there’s only going to be one version of the Galaxy Note 7. Earlier rumors had suggested there might be a flat model and a secondary version with a curved display. The Galaxy Note 7 is expected sometime in August.
