Galaxy S7 vs. LG G5: Which one is king of Android?

The smartphone market has become saturated with flagships. Really, at this point, you can’t buy a bad smartphone. It comes down to the way you want your phone to work and look. With Apple, the selection is quite limited, but with Android, the options are plenty.

The king of the Android market usually resides in Samsung’s corner, but this year LG introduced something different from what we’ve come to expect. The LG G5 and Galaxy S7 boast radically different design aesthetics. One rocks a sleek aluminum and glass build while the other settles for the practicality of modularity. It’s clear which one is the beauty and which one is the brawn.

Both come equipped with internals we’ve come to expect from top-of-the-line smartphones: Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM and microSD support for up to 256GB. Really, you can’t go wrong in choosing either of these phones. It just comes down to which one you prefer: the beautiful powerhouse or the outlier with customizable hardware.

In the video above, Jon talks about each phone feature by feature and ultimately chooses which one he believes is the better phone. Even if one is slightly better than the other, one thing is for sure: They’re both good devices, so you’ll have a solid device no matter your decision.
