Here’s the soundtrack to my early teenage years. It was a time when many of my then-classmates who are now hipsters were in their “emo” phases, wearing dark clothing and lamenting how Green Day has sold their soul. “I liked Green Day before they went mainstream” was a phrase I heard far too often.
Mainstream or not, I remain a fan of this song.
