Here’s a Good Idea: W12 Audi A8 Wagon

Every so often I lift my head up in the office from my usual seven-hour midday nap and announce to my coworkers “hey, the Audi A8 seems cool” at which point they all throw things at me until I pretend to sleep again. Well, here’s an even better thing: a proposed Audi A8 lifted wagon with the W12.

It’s a proposal from Castagna Milano, which is a revived version of the old Italian coachbuilder that made one of the most important cars in the history of automotive aerodynamics, but that’s neither here nor there. What Castagna is up to these days is mostly making weird versions of luxury cars, and that’s what we’ve got here.

Castagna on its Facebook page says the car will be “All alluminium + carbon fibre,” but we have no clue how much it would cost, when it would get made, or if it will get made at all. Maybe nobody’s gonna order one and Castagna just hopes we all forget it.

I won’t.
