Here’s a McLaren P1 LM Going Up Pikes Peak With No Commentary or Any Other Nonsense Just Sweet Sounds

The McLaren P1 LM, a tuned version of the P1, creates 986 horsepower and is capable of lapping the Nürburgring in 6:43.2. But this is not that. No, this is the McLaren P1 LM’s only trip up Pikes Peak.

The drive in the end is leisurely, really, with the McLaren going up in 12:48, or over 4 minutes slower than the record, held by the Volkswagen I.D. R. Still, it’s not slow exactly, either, and I’ll take thirteen minutes of cool car sounds any day of the week.

The P1 LM is a modified P1 ordered by Lanzante Motorsport, with just six examples being produced. The P1 LM is lighter, more powerful, and creates more downforce than an ordinary P1 thanks to a titanium exhaust and modified rear wing, among other things. It’d be nice to see what it can do on Pikes Peak at full-throat, but that Nürburgring run might be the best we’re going to get.
