Is There A Better Nürburgring Save Than This? Probably Not

When you take part in the Nürburgring’s Touristenfahrten—the open public driving days—you need to assume there’s a good chance some bad shit will happen to your car. The ‘Ring isn’t for losers, jokers, fools or the unlucky. But lucky is the only way I can describe this drive. Have you seen a better save lately? I have not.

I have very few details of this short clip from RACINGFUN NORDSCHLEIFE, but it clearly shows what is apparently a Daihatsu Cuore enter a corner too hot, oversteer, tip over, and then… somehow right itself after part of the door appears to briefly hit the pavement for a moment.

Here, watch it. Text can’t do it justice.

Holy crap, right? And here it is from another angle, including a dash cam view:

It’s unknown if the driver was hurt at all, or if they continued on or not. I probably would’ve called it a day after that, myself.

Calling it now: this is the Save of the Year to beat in 2018. I don’t think you should try and go out and beat this, as you’ll probably die, but if there’s anything better and also survivable I want to see it.
