Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV gets two more stunning story trailers

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV might have scored some big names to round out the English speaking cast, but don’t forget that the film is a Japanese movie after all. It has to be released in its home country using domestic actors as well. The latest trailers give a good look at the film’s plot and stunning CG, but let’s hope you’ve been studying your Japanese.

I remember when I was a kid, it was the English voices that didn’t sync up with the Japanese lip movement. We’ve reached a point though where the English voice track has been given preference, and it is now the Japanese that is not dubbed properly. My, how times have changed.

The story for Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV isn’t that difficult. It acts as a feature-length companion piece to the game, and it tells the stories of King Lucis’ most elite knights as they defend their city from invasion.

A second trailer looks a bit more like a TV spot than a general trailer.

Kingsglave: Final Fantasy XV will get a theatrical release in Japan on July 9. The North American version will be released through streaming services before the game’s launch on Sept. 30 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
