Mirror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta dates announced, fresh trailer arrives

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will have a closed beta, and DICE has announced its five day span. The beta will run (get it?) from April 22 through April 26. The registration phase for the beta is already closed, so heads up on that before you get too excited.

DICE will email those selected for the closed beta on April 22. Those people will be called “Frontrunners.” A second batch of closed beta code selectees will receive their code on April 23 in email form.

What will the closed beta feature? Here’s what DICE offers on their official site.

Closed Beta participants will be able to try out several of the main missions in Faith’s story, Side Missions, other optional content, and the Social Play features Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has to offer.

In addition to the closed beta news, DICE released a trailer touting the social features players will find waiting for them in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Dig into that directly below. The game will launch in full form on May 24, 2016 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
