Moto Mod prices revealed! You should probably sit down for this

Lenovo unveiled some awesome Moto Mods for the new Moto Z and Moto Z Force last week, but the company never said how much the modular accessories would cost. Now we finally know the prices for the first batch of Moto Mods, and the news may come as a bit of a shock.

According to a Redditor with the username Justahumanimal, the prices are now listed in the My Verizon app. At the top of the list is the Insta-Share Projector, which apparently costs a whopping $299. That’s actually pretty standard for a higher-end portable projector, but it’s still super expensive for a smartphone accessory.

The rest of the prices are a little more reasonable. JBL’s SoundBoost Bluetooth speaker is listed at just $79.99, while the TUMI-designed Power Pack is available for as little as $89.99. As for the Moto Style backplates, Justahumanimal says one Kate Spade model is listed at $79.99 while the others are still a mystery.

We also don’t know how much the Moto Z or Moto Z Force will cost. If Lenovo can keep the prices relatively low, shoppers likely won’t mind paying a little extra for these Moto Mods. But, considering their high-end specs and sleek metal designs, we don’t expect the new smartphones to come cheap either.
