Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar maintained his awe-inspiring form on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, bought for a world record £200 million fee in August, scored one goal and created another as PSG swept Celtic aside with a 5-0 result at Parkhead in Glasgow.

PSG scored its first goal of the Champions League season after just 19 minutes.

Neymar latched onto Adrien Rabiot’s defence-splitting pass before deftly lifting the football over the reach of Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Just 15 minutes later, Neymar helped PSG double its lead as his header across goal allowed team-mate Kylian Mbappé to find the net himself.

Neymar’s skillset was not the only thing that attracted headlines as the former FC Barcelona striker was also seen squabbling with Scottish defender Anthony Ralston.

Ralston, an 18-year-old with only six first-team appearances to his name, was tasked with marking Neymar, one of the world’s best attackers.

During one flashpoint, Ralston openly mocked Neymar but the PSG player got the last laugh as he made a gesture with three fingers (the score at the time was 3-0).

At the final whistle, it is customary for players to swap shirts. However, Neymar refused to even shake Ralston’s hand.

“It was not a big deal. I won’t dwell on that too much,” Ralston told the press after the game. “If that is the case, and that is the way he wants to be, then fine. I don’t care. I won’t lose any sleep over it.”

Neymar has now returned five goals and five assists in all competitions for PSG this season.
