A little slip-up over a the PlayStation Blog might have announced an upcoming PlayStation 4 release a little earlier than intended. The weekly updates of releases originally stated that Double Fine’s Psychonauts would be coming out when the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow.
Some fans found the announcement a surprise, and Destructoid contacted Sony about the possible re-release. A Sony representative replied, saying that “Psychonauts is coming out soon, but not this week.”

Double Fine Productions already pushed out two excellent remasters of Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Studio head Tim Schafer stated during the Psychonauts 2 crowd-funding campaign that a remaster of Psychonauts would be possible, but nothing has been said of the re-release since.
Are we in for a surprise announcement and release next week at E3 2016? That sounds like a fan-pleasing move Double Fine would want to make. Keep your eyes peeled and your minds open!
