Top Tech Deals

Fire 7 Tablet, $35 for Prime members | Fire HD 8, $55 for Prime members

Update: This deal ends today, so don’t miss your chance.

Amazon’s entry-level Fire 7 tablet isn’t exactly a powerhouse, but it’s great for kids, or anyone that just wants a cheap portable screen to watch videos on planes or in cars, especially since it includes a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It’s a bargain at its usual $50, but Prime members can get one today for just $35 (discount shown at checkout).

Amazon is also taking $25 off the Fire HD 8 for Prime members now, which is probably the better choice for most of you. An extra $20 gets you a bigger, sharper screen, 50% more battery life, stereo speakers, and double the storage.

My car battery doesn’t even last three years, so I can’t begin to imagine how this Logitech mouse can survive for that long. This is the best price we’ve ever seen on the Marathon Mouse, so I’d sprint over to Amazon to order one, if I were you.

2-Pack Aukey Magnetic Vent Mounts, $8 with code AUKEYHT5

Magnetic smartphone vent mounts are the sleekest and easiest way to prop up your phone in the car, and you can get two mounts from Aukey for $8 today with code AUKEYHT5. Even if you already have one in your own car (a pretty safe bet!), it’s worth tossing an extra into your luggage to use in rental cars whenever you travel. They also work as makeshift phone stands if you use them at your desk, or on an airplane tray table.

Don’t want to block a vent? There’s a deal for you too.

While you’re at it, here’s a (non-magnetic) mount for your bike handlebars.

Anker PowerCore Fusion, $21 with code KINJAFSN

The most versatile member of Anker’s insanely popular PowerCore battery pack family pulls double duty as a USB wall charger, and you can get it for just $21 with promo code KINJAFSN.

I’ve owned the Fusion since it launched earlier this year, and it’s an indispensable part of my bag. Now, rather than traveling with a wall charger, a battery pack, and a microUSB cable to recharge said battery, all I need is the Fusion and my Apple charging cables. You can read all of my impressions here, and then head over to Amazon to get yours for $21.

This is my favorite deal from our exclusive Anker iPhone 8 sale, but check out the rest of the deals below:

It’s new iPhone season, and whether you’ve already preordered an 8, are anxiously awaiting the X, or are just sticking with your current phone for another year, some of your favorite Anker accessories are on sale right now, as well as brand new cases from Anker’s Karapax brand.

Note: I’ve been told that the PowerCore Fusion has limited stock available, so order that one early if you want it.

We’ve seen bigger SONOS PLAY:1 deals before, but generally speaking, discounts of any size are few and far between. The PLAY:1 is the smallest member of the SONOS family, but it still sounds fantastic, and you can even link two of them together as a stereo pair.

Aukey Ora Camera Lens, $15 with code AUKEYS07

Phone cameras will never have true interchangeable lenses, but you can still take wide angle and macro photos with a discounted Aukey lens attachment kit. Just clip it to the top of your phone, and take some pictures what otherwise wouldn’t have been possible. The macro lens in particular is just a ton of fun to mess around with.

iClever’s USB battery pack/car jump starter is more powerful than most at 600A, enough to get the engine turning over in almost any car. And as an added bonus, it supports Quick Charge 2.0 input and output, allowing you to recharge your phone faster, and then refill the battery pack in half the time it would usually take.

These jump starters are the kinds of things that you never feel an urgent need to purchase, but that you’re really glad you bought when the time comes to use them.

Anker’s PowerDrive 2 Elite can output 12W on both ports simultaneously, and its USB ports even light up so you can find them in the dark. Even if you have a car charger you’re happy with already, I like keeping a spare in my luggage for rental cars.

1 Year NordVPN, $48 with code VIP70 | 2 Year Plan, $72 with code 2YSpecial2017

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’ geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

Top Home Deals

If you missed yesterday’s Instant Pot deal, you’ve got another chance today in the form of a smart Bluetooth pressure cooker, now marked down to an all-time low $128.

Update: Yesterday’s IP-DUO60 deal is back, if you don’t care about the smart features.

This Instant Pot is nearly identical to the IP-DUO60 that was on sale yesterday, with two major exceptions. The first, as you probably already guessed, is built-in Bluetooth and a free smartphone app. This lets you control the Instant Pot from elsewhere in your house, yes. But more importantly, it means you can program precise recipes (high pressure for five minutes, hold for 10, switch to low warm setting, etc.) that you can enable with one button, rather than returning to the kitchen every time you need to change a setting. It’s a small convenience, but one you’ll appreciate on a device that you use every week.

The less obvious difference is that the smart model allows you to cook at specific temperatures, which means you could use this as a makeshift sous-vide machine. The Instant Pot won’t circulate your water, so you’d likely have a few degrees of temperature variation between the top and the bottom of the pot, but that’s not the end of the world for most cuts of meat, and you could always give it a quick stir yourself. Most reviewers who have tried doing this say it’s good enough, and it means you have one less expensive kitchen appliance to buy and store.

If you’re worried that you won’t get a ton of use out of this thing, note that in addition to standard pressure cooking, the Instant Pot is also our readers’ favorite slow cooker, and one of their favorite rice cookers too. To put a fine point on it: It’s one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets you can own.

Ninja’s high-end coffee maker has all the bells and whistles you could want in a coffee machine, and you can pick one up for $110 today, the best price we’ve seen since Prime Day.

The headlining feature here is Ninja’s Auto-iQ system, which automatically adjusts the water level based on the brew size and type you select, but you’ll also get a permanent filter, milk frother and tumbler in the box. Just note that this deal is only available today, so don’t sleep on it.

The Joseph Joseph Cut and Carve Plus is a large, double-sided, non-slip, dishwasher safe cutting board. One side is smooth for your standard chopping, while the other has spikes to hold your meat in place as you cut, and is angled to collect that sweet sweet juice for easy pouring from the rounded corners.

With few exceptions, $18-$19 is about as cheap as this ever gets, so cut yourself a piece of this deal before it sells out.

Finally, someone made the Glow Bowl, but for everywhere else in your home. This motion-sensing light strip is billed as an under-bed night light, but you could just as easily attach it under your bathroom counter, along a railing, beneath your baby’s crib, or anywhere else you might need to venture in the middle of the night. For a limited time, you can get one for just $14 with code BEDLGT30, matching an all-time low.

Our readers’ favorite carry-on bag is the Travelpro Maxlite3, and you can fly away with one for $89 right now. This deal might have come a little too late for your summer travel plans, but the holidays are just around the corner.

Masterbuilt Electric Smoker, $154 with code WAREHOUSE30

This $154 Masterbuilt electric smoker (with code WAREHOUSE30) makes cooking jerky, brisket, or (insert meat of your choice) as easy as dropping in some wood chips and hitting a few buttons.

With precise temperature control from 100 to 275 degrees, you’ll have complete command over the finished product. Today’s price is easily the best we’ve seen, so you’ll have more money left over to spend on delicious, delicious meat.

ECOVACS N79 Robotic Vacuum, $160 with code MDUDN46X

Vacuuming is simultaneously the worst chore, and the chore most easily pawned off to a robot. How convenient!

While it lacks the brand recognition of a Roomba, and we can’t personally vouch for them like we can for the Eufy RoboVac 11, this ECOVACS vacuum has solid reviews, and are insanely affordable today at $160. You can even control it from your phone, which is very rare in this price range.

Oxyled LED projector, $40 with code OxyPLOMN

You won’t need it for a couple more weeks, but you might as well plan ahead to decorate your house for every holiday with just one $40 gadget, the greatest invention to happen to holiday decor in decades.

This waterproof LED projector comes with 12 different themes like spooky Halloween characters, Santa Claus, snowflakes, falling leaves, and Valentine’s Day hearts. You can set the timer and reign in holiday spirit indoors or out.

OxyLED T-02 Plus, $20 with code UTWUF6MS

Our readers have bought tens of thousands of OxyLED’s motion-sensing night lights, and now they’re offering you only the second deal we’ve ever seen on the supersized T-02 Plus.

The Plus features 36 individual LED bulbs, a rechargeable battery, and unlike a several similar models, the ability to turn on manually, rather than relying on the motion and ambient light sensors. It’s big and bright enough to light up an entire closet or a large cabinet, but personally, I’d stick mine under my kitchen cabinets to light up the counter below.

Yazer Wool Dryer Balls, $8 with code yazer777

Wool dryer balls are the hottest laundry invention of the decade, and you can get six of them for $8 today with promo code yazer777. Just toss them in your dryer, and your clothes will dry faster, come out softer, and have fewer wrinkles at the end of the cycle.

50 FREE 4×6 Photo Prints. Promo code FREE50PRINTS

You don’t need to run to a pharmacy or <shudders in horror> buy a photo printer to bring your pictures into the real world; Amazon will print up to 50 4×6 photos for free, with free shipping for Prime members. Just click the banner on this page, upload your photos, and use promo code FREE50PRINTS at checkout.

Cast Iron Chainmail Scrubber, $7 with code K4LRAK2L

One of the only downsides of cast iron pans is that they can be a nightmare to clean, but this chainmail scrubber can scrape away caked-on food without hurting your seasoning, or resorting to soap. No wonder one of them is in our bestsellers club. Today’s $7 deal also happens to be the best price we’ve ever seen on one of these.

If that doesn’t convince you, there’s free shipping over $75, and free returns on everything.

Flannel Mermaid Tail, $13 with code WHSFYWC8

Some may call this mermaid tail trend “Etsy’s answer to a straightjacket” but I could see this being a fun thing to have around for a 4-13 year old child. Maybe you’re a proud adult mermaid or merman (MER-MAN!) with cold feet who wants a deal on a $13 flannel tail with code WHSFYWC8 – we don’t judge.

Eufy BodySense Smart Scale, $40 with code EUFY9140 | White available for the same price with no promo code.

Update: Promo expired.

Anker unveiled its very first smart bathroom scale back in February, and we’ve only seen two discounts on it ever since. Until now.

In addition to functioning as a normal digital bathroom scale, the BodySense can measure metrics such as body fat percentage and body water, and sync all of that data over Bluetooth to your iOS or Android smartphone. You can see my impressions here, but it’s the most seamless and reliable smart scale I’ve ever personally used, and a great deal at $40, or $10 less than usual.

Note: You’ll need code EUFY9140 to get the deal on the black model, but the white model is available for $40 without a code.

iTunes gift card discounts are noticeably less common than they used to be, and while we do see 20% discounts from time to time, a $100 iTunes gift card for $85 is still a solid deal if you pay for apps, movies, Apple Music, or iCloud storage.

You can play as one of several protagonists trying to survive in a procedurally generated level, or the killer of your choice, be it a paranormal wraith, or a psychotic hillbilly with a chainsaw. $20 is the best price we’ve ever seen for the game on Xbox One or PS4, so you’ll have money left over to buy new pants.
