Street Fighter V’s rage quitting punishment update arrives

Rage quitters, take heed. If someone is absolutely destroying you in Street Fighter V while you’re online, it’s now best to stay and take your lumps. Capcom has officially rolled out the first implementation of their rage quit punishment system.

The update that brings Guile to the game is the same one that offers the rage quitting consequences. How will Capcom deal with rage quitters? Well, they detailed that plan a few weeks back. Here’s the good word.

The way this will work is the system will identify players who have high disconnect rates during matches and will lock them out of matchmaking for a period of time. Players who have been identified as abusing the system will receive an in-game message notifying them they have been locked out of matchmaking.

Don’t rage quit, friends. It’s annoying, and you could also wind up banned for a while.
