Amazon Prime Day Device Discounts | Amazon

Prime Day officially kicks off at 3PM ET today, but Amazon went ahead and put their own devices on sale early to kick off the festivities.

If you’ve had any Amazon devices on your wishlist, the deals are honestly pretty spectacular. A lot of products are legitimately 50% off for the first time (a 4K Fire TV for $35, are you kidding!), and others, like the $80 Kindle Paperwhite, $100 Echo Spot, $30 Fire Tablet, and $290 50″ 4K Fire TV are down to the best prices we’ve seen, with extra savings available in many cases if you buy multiples of the same product.

Unsurprisingly with the success of Alexa, a number of smart home products round out the sales, including 50% off Amazon’s home security camera (just $60), $75 off Amazon’s newly acquired Ring Doorbell Pro, and a number of bundles that include smart home gear with an Alexa device that can control it.

You can find all of the deals in this post here, but just remember, they’re only available for Prime members.

SanDisk 128GB MicroSD Card | $24 | Amazon
Graphic: Shep McAllister

~$30 would be a great price for a 128GB microSD card. $24 though? That’s totally unprecedented. If you need more storage space for your action cam, your new Fire tablet, or a Nintendo Switch, this could be the best deal of Prime Day.

eBay Prime Day Sale

eBay’s taking on Prime Day with a major sales event of its own, no membership required. A few of our picks are broken out below, but you can see all of the deals over on this hub page.

Logitech MX Sound Computer Speaker System | $70 | Amazon

If you’re still listening to your computer through its built-in speakers, stop torturing yourself and buy Logitech’s MX Sound 2.0 audio system for $70, or $30 less than usual.

In addition to connecting to your PC with a 3.5mm cable, the MX Sound also includes Bluetooth to pair to your phones and tablets, with one-touch switching between devices. And not for nothing, they happen to look waybetter than most computer speakers, which matters for something that sits out on your desk all day.

20% Off Amazon Warehouse Deals | Prime Members Only
Graphic: Amazon

Amazon aficionados know that the company sells lightly used products at significant discounts under its Amazon Warehouse brand, and to Prime Day, you can save an extra 20% at checkout.

Tons of categories are included in the sale, including computers, TVs, kitchen appliances, and cameras. Just find an Amazon Warehouse listing of an eligible item, add it to your cart, and you should see an extra 20% discount at checkout, on top of the already-discounted price you got for buying used. Most products tend to only have a handful of Warehouse listings though, so go cross a few things off your wish list before the good stuff is all gone.

Graphic: Erica Offutt

Anker SoundBuds Slim+ Bluetooth Headphones | $20 | Amazon | Prime members only
Graphic: Shep McAllister

Our readers voted Anker’s SoundBuds Slims as their favorite affordable Bluetooth headphones, but we may need a recount, as Anker recently released the upgraded SoundBuds Slim+, on sale for just $20 today, for Prime members only.

The biggest change from the original model is the inclusion of AptX encoding, which should improve sound quality with compatible devices. Anker also claims that waterproofing has been improved, though they’re both still rated as IPX5, so any change on that front is likely modest. One thing that hasn’t changed: the seven hour battery, which is excellent for earbuds of this size.

15 Pound Weighted Blanket | $79 | Amazon | Promo code 85YNQOD9

Amazon Prime Pantry

Amazon’s pulling out all the stops to promote Prime Pantry in the lead up to Prime Day, so you should cancel your next trip to the grocery store and stack the digital discounts while you can.

There are a few things going on here, so head over to this post to learn more.

If you’ve ever eaten at a nice steakhouse, you were probably eating sous-vide meat. Here’s a secret though: It’s really easy to get those kinds of results at home. Amazon’s listing this best-sellingAnova sous-vide circulator for $109 today, which is the best price Amazon’s ever listed on the Wi-Fi model.

Lifehacker has a great explainer on sous vide cooking for you to check out, but the basic idea is that you seal the food in a bags, and then cook it in precisely heated water over a longer period of time. It sounds weird, kind of like food hot tub, but the result is food that’s cooked to the exact right temperature all the way through.

Travelpro Platinum Magna 2 Carry-On | $200 | Amazon
Graphic: Erica Offutt

This 22” TravelPro carry-on bag is the same brand as our readers’ pick for the best carry-on luggage, and the perfect companion for your upcoming summer trips. Today’s $200 price tag is the lowest we’ve seen in 6 months, and $50 less than usual. $200 is still a lot to spend on a small bag, but with great reviews and a lifetime warranty, you can consider it an investment.

KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer | $210 | Amazon
Graphic: Shep McAllister

I’m not sure a KitchenAid discount was high on my list of Prime Day expectations, but this Artisan series mixer is down to an Amazon all-time low of $210 today, or about $50 less than usual. No kitchen is complete without one.

$1 Dash Buttons | Amazon | $5 credit on first press of each
Graphic: Shep McAllister

Amazon Dash Buttons are usually basically free, in that they cost $5, but get you a $5 discount the first time you use them to order a product from Amazon. But when they only cost $1, it’s like Amazon’s paying you to use them. Nearly 250 buttons are on sale today for Prime members, and there’s no limit on how many you can purchase (you can only get the credit once per button type, but you can get multiple credits from different buttons), so get clicking.

Panasonic Flash Xpress Toaster Oven | $97 | Amazon | Clip the $10 coupon
Graphic: Shep McAllister

If the reader-favorite Breville Smart Oven line is a little out of your price range, Panasonic’s Flash Xpress toaster oven took second place in our reader poll, and it’s down to $97 today when you clip the $10 coupon, the best price we’ve seen this year.

Ecovacs DEEBOT N79S | $170 | Amazon | Clip the $10 coupon
Photo: Amazon

Vacuuming is simultaneously the worst chore, and the chore most easily pawned off to a robot, so if you haven’t done yourself the favor of buying a robotic vacuum yet, today’s a great opportunity.

While it lacks the brand recognition of a Roomba, this ECOVACS N79S vacuum is the follow-up to the well-reviewed N79, its main addition being Alexa support. That means in addition to setting schedules and controlling the vacuum with your phone, you can now shout into the void that you’d like your floor vacuumed, and some combination of AI, voice recognition, and robotics will work in unison to make it happen. What a world.

Get it for just $170 today after clipping the $10 coupon. The listed $180 price is already way down from the usual $250, so this is a stellar deal.

All-Clad 12″ Tri-Play Skillet with lid | $90 | Amazon | Clip the $30 coupon

All-Clad skillets are among the most popular pieces of cookware we’ve ever posted, and Amazon’s marked the 12″ tri-ply down to one of the best prices we’ve ever seen.

These skillets feature a durable stainless steel cooking surface, an even and rapid-heating aluminum core, and a beautiful stainless exterior, all sandwiched together to create the ultimate pan. And, like all All-Clad items, it comes with a lifetime warranty, though you probably won’t need it so long as you treat it well. Just be sure to clip the $30 coupon on the page to get the deal.

You might find some redecorating inspiration from Amazon’s big sale on its furniture and home decor brands, Rivet and Stone & Beam.

Everything is up to 25% off, which is some serious savings on some of the more expensive furniture pieces and rugs. Jillian just bought a Rivet couch and loves it. I like these old school map prints, this teal rug, and this leather love seat. To start finding stuff for your house, head over to Amazon.

Rack up 20% off a whole bunch of laundry essentials from this early Prime Day sale. The sale has everyone’s favorite Tide Pods in a few flavors scents, plus dryer sheets, fabric softeners, scent boosters, and more.

Some items require you to hit the check box on the product page to redeem the coupon, while others will automatically take the 20% off. Just remember, you won’t see the discount until checkout. And as always, you can save a little more if you Subscribe & Save, and have the freedom to cancel your subscription at anytime after your first order ships.

AmazonBasics Prime Sale | Amazon | Deal prices only visible for Prime members
Graphic: Shep McAllister

As part of their Prime Day early access deals, Amazon’s taking up to 20% off a bunch of AmazonBasics stuff right now for Prime members.

The selection here is…eclectic, with options ranging from medicine balls, to kitchen shelves, to flatware, to luggage, to a shredder, to a headboard, and a whole lot more. With few exceptions, AmazonBasics stuff is well made an an excellent value, and that’s even more true than usual with this sale. Just note that you’ll only see the deal prices if you’re logged into an Amazon Prime account.

$20 off Prime Now | Amazon
Image: Amazon

If you live in a city with Amazon’s same-day Prime Now delivery service, but haven’t gotten around to using it yet, they’re running a fantastic promotion for new members to celebrate the lead-up to Prime Day.

For a limited time, you can save $10 on your first Prime Now order with promo code 20PRIMEDAY, and then automatically receive an additional $10 credit to use before the end of the month on another order. This deal requires you to spend at least $10.01 per order, so you can basically pay a penny (not including tip and taxes) to get snacks, ice cream, household essentials, and more delivered to front door. This year’s options are greater than ever, with the discount available on anything ordered from Amazon or Whole Foods Market (excluding alcohol, digital content, and any ordered placed using Alexa).

If the name doesn’t make it clear, you’ll need to be a Prime member to take advantage of Prime Now, but you can sign up for a 30 day free trial here.

Amazon’s really ramping up the deals this week in preparation for Prime Day. You can save on a whole bunch of Amazon’s own brands of food, beauty, coffee, vitamins, and more. If you’re looking for some suggestions, I’d check out these laundry detergent packs, and this wide selection of coffee. Most of these products are at all-time lows, so get to shopping.

If you have a Whole Foods near you, go spend $10 there between now and Prime Day—a couple jars of asparagus water ought to do it—and you’ll get a $10 credit on your Amazon account that will apply to any Amazon.com purchases on Prime Day next week. Just download the Whole Foods app, sign in with your Amazon Prime account, and scan your QR code at checkout.

One of our favorite recurring Amazon sales is back for Prime Day: $5 off any $20 book order with promo code PRIMEBOOKS18.

Just like previous, similar deals, this deal excludes Kindle titles and audiobooks, but if there are any commemorative coffee table-type books or collector’s editions that you’ve been eyeing, this is a great opportunity. Just choose carefully; you can only use the code once per Amazon account.

You can buy multiple books to meet the $20 threshold, but here are a few $20+ suggestions to get you started.
