These free weekends have become standard fare lately, haven’t they. Stepping up to the plate with the latest in the category is Ubisoft. They’ve brought along The Division, a game we tossed into our most disappointing list for 2016.
Maybe you’ll like it, though, right? Now’s the perfect time to give it a shot if you have a PC and a Uplay account.
The game is free from 10 a.m. PT today until 1 p.m. PT on December 18. The entire core experience is here and free to play. You can make as much progress as you manage, and that’ll all carry over should you decide to stick with the game and pick it up. It’s selling for $25 for a limited time.
The Division is still a work in progress
This game is still being updated in big ways, and I say that as a good thing. Ubisoft recently dropped an enormous patch that changes a lot of the experience, and I imagine free weekends like this one will push the player base up a bit.
This game could still get even better, so give it a shot.
