It seems like it was only yesterday that the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation listed the first-ever U.S. Honda Civic Type R for auction on Bring-A-Trailer, well, because it was only just yesterday. We’re bringing it back up because the bidding just jumped up to $200,000.

Earlier this morning, a user by the name of “happycappyauto” submitted a bid of $200,000 for the car, upping the previous bid by a whopping $144,000 with seven days still left to go. Bring-A-Trailer confirmed the massive bid amount was legitimate. The identity behind the user is a mystery for now, and their account is brand new.

However high it goes, the full winning bid will be donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, which is just great. I wonder how much higher it could get with a week left on the clock. As one commenter suggested, has somebody emailed Jay Leno yet?

H/t to Paulo!
