This Ford Mustang is a Lamborghini Gallardo

I like Ford Mustangs and I like Lamborghini Gallardos. Both, and separately. But if they are smashed together to make some kind of ungodly automotive mash-up? I’m not sure about that one. And yes, it is the same one that we first saw in 2010, which feels like approximately 10,000 years ago.

The car, called the 2009 Ford Lamborghini Tractorri Custom Coupe, is apparently a SEMA car that someone invested over $700,000 to build, according to its listing on Barrett-Jackson. It started out as a 2007 Mustang but now has a Gallardo’s 5.0-liter V10 engine, mid-mounted, with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Inside, there’s even a Gallardo dashboard that was “chopped and modified” to fit the Ford. Lamborghini HVAC, gauges, switches and controls complete the look.

The bodywork is custom. There’s a fabricated front end which uses a Porsche 911 Turbo’s turn signals. And the rear uses factory Lamborghini tail lights. Not going to lie, the rear makes me want to scream.

The listing claims that there are only 2,564 actual miles on the clock and that the name “Tractorri” is a “tribute to Ferrucio Lamborghini’s humble beginnings.” It will be available with no reserve during Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction next month.

Look, this Tractorri thing is probably one of the most custom cars you’re going to get. As Sam Smith noted in 2010, it actually looks really well put-together. From the photos, at least. And I’m sure it sounds great, too, because it’s tough to screw up a naturally aspirated V10 engine. I just can’t get into the mashup. Why a Mustang? Why a Gallardo?

My point is, I like udon and I like pumpkin pie, but I would never combine those two foods. A Mustang and a Gallardo probably should not have been combined, either, but to each their own.
