We failed Pokémon Sun and Moon’s second Global Mission, trainers

Pokémon Sun and Moon‘s second Global Mission is officially done. Even after the developers said they’d make it easier than the first one we all tanked, we failed this one, too.

Oy.

We were meant to use the game’s Island Scan feature to track down and fight Pokémon. We all needed to scan and battle one million Pokémon. We didn’t make it. We totaled 661,839 Pokémon, falling short by around 34%.

What did we miss out on? Well, we all would have received 2,017 Festival Coins, the currency used to buy some fancy items in the Festival area in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Instead, we get a consolation of 217 Festival Coins. That is, if you registered your Game Sync ID at the Global Link before things wrapped up.

I think the developers need to lower the bar even further

Sure, the goal was a little easier for the second Global Mission, there’s no doubt about that. We had to catch 100,000,000 Pokémon in that one.

I think The Pokémon Company and Game Freak need to consider making this whole thing even easier for gamers to clear. That way we can get our freebies, raise morale and take on harder missions in the long run.
