The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s release date has been thrown into rumor-based jeopardy over the last few weeks. Once thought to be a rock solid launch title for the Nintendo Switch and a standard Wii U release in March 2017, there were rumors that Breath of the Wild wouldn’t come until the summer.

That’s since been clarified, with the most recent rumor suggesting that everything is still coming in March. Now that rumor has been clarified, too.

Eurogamer‘s Tom Phillips has been largely spot-on with all of the outlet’s Nintendo Switch leaks, and now he has word that the European version of the game is up in the air. According to his sources, Nintendo of Europe wanted “as long a period of testing and localisation as could be allowed” for the game, while Nintendo of Japan and Nintendo of America want the strongest launch lineup possible. Nintendo of Japan is “uncomfortable” with waiting until later for the title.
