Amazon’s $50 Fire tablet now available in several colors

Amazon’s $50 Fire tablet, which is actually a great bang-for-your-buck tablet, is now available in several new colors including magenta, blue and tangerine. The tablet is also available in black, the standard color. Amazon will also offer a new 16GB option for $69.99.

We’re actually big fans of the $50 Fire tablet here at TechnoBuffalo, most of us having spent our own money to pick it up. I bought a pair for my wife and I before traveling to Barcelona for Mobile World Congress in February, for example. While its display isn’t as sharp as I’d like, it’s a great performer for kicking back and watching a few emails, playing some light games and reading Kindle books.

Amazon also announced that its Fire Kids Edition is available with a new green case with 16GB of storage for $119.99.
