Bentley EXP10 Speed 6 concept car features holographic butler

Bentley has a stunning new concept car that features its own virtual butler. It’s not something you can have just yet, it’s just a concept after all. But, it might one day be available in Bentley’s cars.

The company’s new EXP10 Speed 6 concept – similar to the car we covered back in February that may eventually also serve as its all-electric vehicle – features a virtual personal assistant that, using holographic technology, might exist in the middle of the cabin, ready to assist the passengers as they cruise to their destination.

“In the future our cars will of course feature yet-to-be-invented connectivity and technologies – perhaps a virtual butler, for example – that enhance the lives of our luxury millennial customers, and I strongly believe that how these technologies are integrated into the cabin will become ever more important,” Bentley’s director of design Stefan Sielaff told Mirror.

Holographic technology exists, and we have smart digital assistants such as Alexa, Cortana, Siri and Google Now that could help power a digital butler. But do we really need one? After all, a lot of the technology is already loaded up right in our phones.

And, frankly, what good is a butler if he or she can’t pour me another glass of bubbly?
