Film Fondue: What does Christopher Nolan think about the new Batman?

Guess what? We’re only a few weeks away from the release of Deadpool, a movie that almost didn’t exist. But before that, we have more pressing matters to attend to. Did you know Natalie Portman hasn’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Or that there were a lot of other voice cameos in the movie?

There as been a real lull in geek content to watch over the past few months, Star Wars notwithstanding, but with Deadpool on the horizon, we’re about to turn a corner. As in, Batman v Superman is coming, as is Captain America: Civil War,Finding Dory, Warcraft, Suicide Squad, and many others.

War Machine in Captain America: Civil War

Don Cheadle talked about his role in Civil War, revealing War Machine will be “pivotal” to the story. Judging by the trailer, that could involve him getting severely injured—or even dying—but we’ll have to wait to find out what happens until May. [SuperheroHype]

Thor: Ragnarok to feature lots of humor

In addition to featuring a lot of great action, Thor: Ragnarok is also going to focus on humor. Director Taika Waititi spoke to The Wrap and expressed his desire to make Ragnarok funnier than the previous two movies, which were more serious. Kingsman 2 to feature great new villain

According to Kingsman star Taron Egerton, the sequel will feature a villain that rivals Samuel L. Jackson. Egerton also said the film will be more international.

Napoleon Dynamite director to helm Nickelodeon movie

Deadline reports characters from 90s shows including Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaahh! Real Monsters, and The Angry Beavers will all show up in an ensemble movie directed by Jared and Jerusha Hess. It’ll apparently be similar in style to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which combined live action and animation. [Deadline]

The Angry Birds Movie gets a new trailer

The Angry Birds Movie doesn’t look terrible, but hopefully it doesn’t rely solely on crude humor for laughs. Put another way, will audiences laugh with or at what looks like a clear cash grab?

Finding Dory international teaser

Not much is revealed in this new international teaser for Finding Dory, but it’s better than nothing. Pixar’s upcoming sequel is only a few months away, so chances are a full trailer is imminent—maybe around Super Bowl time.

Christopher Nolan is OK with Batman v Superman

In the latest issue of Empire, director Zack Snyder revealed he got Christopher Nolan’s blessing when making Batman v Superman. Here’s what Snyder said of their conversation.
