LG V20: Reasons why you should buy it

In light of the Note 7 debacle, LG’s V20 is one device that could benefit from Samsung’s misfortune. The V10 was underrated, so there’s good reason to pay attention to the sequel. There are plenty of high-end flagships on the market, but the V20 still manages to stand out. Here’s what makes it special.

The most obvious reason the V20 is different is because of that secondary display. Above the phone’s 5.7-inch Quad HD screen sits a smaller 2-inch display that’s always-on. It’s useful for a few reasons, not least of which is providing users with information such as time and date.

The secondary screen is also handy because it provides shortcuts, notifications, and more. Remember when flip phones had a small display on the outside? This is a bit like that.

The V20 is also a beast of a phone. Not only does it run Android 7.0, but it comes equipped with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The device also sports a dual camera setup. One is a 16-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization and the other is an 8-megapixel sensor with a 135-degree wide-angle lens.

Beyond that, the device’s 3,200mAh battery is removable and storage is expandable via microSD. These features used to be staples in the Android market, but they’re no longer as prevalent.

There are quite a few reasons why you should give the V20 a look. Check out the video above to learn more about LG’s new flagship. Don’t forget to check out the counterargument, why you may want to steer clear of the LG V20.
