Moto G4 Plus ships with 32GB of storage, just 2GB of RAM

MOTO G4 10

One unlucky Moto G4 Plus customer who ordered a 32GB handset has discovered it shipped with just 2GB of RAM instead of the expected 3GB. It’s unclear at this point whether this is merely a solitary case, or if other units have been shipped with this configuration.

Like other affordable Androids, the Moto G4 Plus comes in two variants: Consumers can save money by opting for just 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, or they can cough up a little extra for more flexibility with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.

There is no 32GB variant with just 2GB of RAM officially, but that’s exactly what one buyer has received after ordering the new device from Amazon India, according to Android Central. They should have received the 32GB/3GB model.

This appears to be a one-off case at the moment; we’re yet to see any further reports from Moto G4 Plus buyers who have experienced the same issue. However, we don’t know for certain yet. If you’re a Moto G4 Plus buyer, you may want to double-check you have the right setup.

Lenovo, which now owns Motorola, is yet to comment on this issue, and the user affected is still waiting for a resolution.
