New HTC 10 leak hints at Hi-Fi BoomSound, May launch, no CDMA

HTC’s next-generation smartphone could go on sale in May with even better BoomSound. According to the latest leak, the HTC 10 will also sport a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display and a 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera, but no support for Sprint or Verizon.

It’s common for HTC’s latest devices to leak ahead of their official debuts, so it’s no surprise we’ve seen a bunch of photos and details for the HTC 10 already. The latest is a list of specifications obtained by Android Headlines.

“The image is of a HTC website listing and therefore, should be considered to be fairly accurate, pending any immediate changes,” the site claims. It promises that the HTC 10 will start shipping in early May with a “brilliant design” and a 5.2-inch Gorilla Glass display.

It also hints at an improved camera experience with a 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera that boasts laser autofocus and optical image stabilization — plus 32GB of internal storage, BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition, and HTC Uh Oh protection exclusively from HTC.com.

One interesting thing to note is that Sprint and Verizon are missing from the list of carriers supported by the HTC 10, which suggests there will be no CDMA compatibility. That could change, but considering the One A9 never got Verizon support, it doesn’t look too promising.

HTC is expected to unveil the HTC 10 on Tuesday, April 12, so we don’t have too long to wait for confirmation of these details. Are you excited for what the company has up its sleeve?
