The PlayStation Store continues to celebrate franchises and developers in its weekly sales campaigns, and the latest to benefit from slashed prices is Naughty Dog. PlayStation Blog hypes the sale as a credit to all that Naughty Dog has achieved over its 30 years of existence and everything that has made it a world class developer. Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, The Last of Us, you know all the hits…
…except the one that actually put Naughty Dog on the map in the first place. The sale doesn’t have a single Crash Bandicoot game in sight. Not even the original PSOne Classics that it directly developed. The sadly forgotten mascot is probably buried under heaps of Activision legal contracts and bureaucracy that would take too much effort to dig through.
Why is it that shrill business practices have to interfere with our fun and history? Oh well. Fans will always remember where Crash Bandicoot got his start, and they’ll always remember the team that created him. A week long sale neglecting him won’t hinder that.
