The Division’s beta starts January 28 for Xbox One users

The Division‘s beta is almost as long-awaited as the game itself, but with the preview coverage comes a blitz of announcements from Ubisoft, including a hard date for the beta.

The beta picks up later this month, hitting Xbox One first on Thursday, January 28. 24 hours later, PC and PlayStation gamers will get access until the beta ends across all three platforms on January 31.

The beta will feature story missions and some time in the Dark Zone. If you’ve preordered the game, you’re guaranteed access to the beta regardless of whether you subscribe to Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus.

You still have a few days to preorder, if that’s still something you do. Meanwhile, you can check out our thoughts on the game’s combat, the Dark Zone, and even the premise that spawned the game itself.

Tom Clancy’s The Division hits PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 8.
