These Are Your Favorite Rice Cookers

There were a ton of nominations in this week’s hunt for the best rice cooker, but two stood out from the pack. One is a dedicated rice cooker, and the other is a multipurpose device that’s already your favorite slow cooker. So it’s time for you to be the judge: Check out the reader comments below, and don’t forget to vote at the bottom of the post.

Instant Pot

I use this for almost everything. I barely even use my oven anymore. Its kinda crazy. Lil on the high end for just cooking rice…but a super super versatile kitchen appliance – GweetPotato20

Another vote for Instant Pot! A pressure cooker, rice cooker and slow cooker all in one. Stainless steel so no toxins or metals from Teflon or aluminum. Best kitchen investment I made. – brewmasterthis

Got one as a gift a few years ago from the grandma. Thought it was ridiculous. Now use it for 80% of my dinners – rice, meat, stews – everything gets cooked in there and maybe finished in a pan. – clownish

Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker

I have used this for over 10 years and love it. Timer works great. Brown rice, white rice, arborio, sushi, etc. all work well. Recommend. – ssself

Any of the Zojirushi Fuzzy logic rice cookers are the answer. I don’t remember the model of mine off the top of my head (I’ve had it for years), but it even has a cake setting… and yes, it works amazing. – mane

I just got a Zojirushi a couple months ago, and while it was a bit spendy for a single use device I use it 3-4 times a week as rice has become a staple in my diet. It makes perfect rice every time. If I start it after work and get caught up with something, hours after its finished cooking the rice it’s still sticky, hot and perfect and I’ve never had the rice burned or heavily browned on the bottom like my old cheap-o rice cooker would do all the time. I am really curious about the pressure cooker option I’ve seen a lot of people say works great and has more potential uses than just rice which is a big bonus. – clintcarlson77
