Verizon PopData gives you unlimited data for 30 minutes

Verizon recently introduced a unique data plan called “PopData.” It’s not monthly but, rather, a prepaid plan that works right when you need it. Not a minute longer.

PopData is an “all-you-can-stream data connection” that lasts for either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Pay $2 for 30 minutes or just $3 for a full hour. When the time is up, your connection is lost. That’s all there is to it.

I love the idea. It’s perfect for folks who don’t want to pay for too much data but who might need a bit more here and there, like on the train to work. PopData supports Android and iOS and is also available on the iPad.

Want to give it a try? Just open your My Verizon app, tap “Data Meter” tap “Get more data” and then tap “PopData.” Boom, you’re back online.
