Comment Of The DayYour good comments.There are currently 27 different varieties of Porsche 911 on sale in the U.S. market with the Speedster coming to make it 28. And that number is across two different generations of car, as the 991 hasn’t exited production yet, but the 992 is already being delivered to customers. This is nothing new, as Porsche powertrain and body-style proliferation has been increasing since at least the early 2000s.
When Kristen Lee reported this afternoon that a full EV version of the 718 Boxster/Cayman lineup is coming in a couple of years (above) it fell to Rep. Les Wynan to make this perfectly subtle joke in response.
A comment like this comes along only once in a lifetime, it’s such an exquisite use of language that it should be forever enshrined in COTD history. Thank you for the excellent comment Rep. Les Wynan, and congratulations on your Comment of the Day victory. Well deserved.
