iPhone 7 concept blows us away with transforming home button

The iPhone 7 leaks are already starting to roll in, but we still don’t really know how the device will turn out. Thankfully there are concept designs to fuel our imagination in the meantime, and this latest one is absolutely incredible.

The new iPhone 7 concept design comes from Concepts iPhone, and from the outside it actually looks pretty standard. The handset is noticeably thinner with extremely slim side bezels but, otherwise, it looks pretty similar to the iPhone 6s. The camera hump is also gone.

The biggest visual change is a totally re-imagined Home Button. The new fingerprint scanner is capable of changing colors and even images, letting you swap the classic design for an Apple logo or even a circular photo. It’s unclear how Apple might pull this off, but we assume it would mean replacing the physical button with a digital display and haptic feedback.

The concept device also packs plenty of cutting edge hardware. That includes a 4K display, a 20-megapixel primary camera (12 megapixels in front), a 2500mAh battery and new storage options, ranging from 16GB all the way to 256GB.

Of course, this is just a concept, so don’t get your hopes up that Apple will actually replace the Home Button or make the jump to 4K anytime soon.
