Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 both leaked for next-gen consoles

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Marvel’s excellent RPG/beat ’em up hybrids Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 could be making an appearance on our current generation consoles in the near future. Both games, as well as Transformers: The Fall of Cybertron, have been rated for a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release in Taiwan.

All three games are owned by Activision, meaning possible remasters are on the way.

The first Marvel: Ultimate Alliance game was developed by Raven Software, also known for the pair of PlayStation 2-era X-Men Legends games. All three were well received upon release, but Raven Software found its way into the Call of Duty empire after middling success in the FPS and action genres. It is currently working behind Activision’s other studios on certain maps.

If Activision were to give these guys room to create an original franchise and really expand on their approach to RPGs, that would be a plus for the entire world. Or better yet, how about a Hexen revival, just to toss out some old names there.

Maybe these potential remasters will be enough to remind everyone just how much fun these games were with a group of your nerdy friends.
