Finn Jones picked to play lead in Marvel’s Iron Fist

After months and months of rumors and doubt, Entertainment Weekly says a lead has been chosen for Iron Fist, which is part of Marvel’s expanded universe on Netflix. According to the report, Finn Jones, who is known for his role as Ser Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones, has been picked to play the martial arts master though no official announcement has been made just yet.

It’s still unclear when Marvel plans to begin filming the show, and when the show will actually come out, but fans will have no shortage of content to watch over the coming months. In addition to Daredevil season 2 on March 18, there are plans to release Luke Cage (currently in production), The Defenders, Jessica Jones season 2, and possibly even a Punisher spinoff.

In the Marvel Universe, Iron Fist, also known as Daniel Rand, is a skilled martial artist who has the ability to wield a mystical force known as the Iron Fist. With Jones now picked for the lead, chances are Netflix will make a formal announcement soon, and provide more details about the upcoming show.
